Step 1) Be enrolled in basic bardo training.
|
| |
These safaris are an extention of the Basic Bardo Training and the
Diablo Bardo Safaris -- both of which are prerequisites to
doing the online Guild Wars Bardo Safaris.
If you have not completed your Basic Bardo Training course
or have not been participating in any of the online Diablo Bardo Safaris,
then that is the place to start.
To get started in Basic Bardo Training check out the information at
Bardo Training Center,
or use our contact form. We can arrange
a time to talk on the phone or perhaps answer your question through
email.

Step 2) Get Guild Wars
|
| |
Use the link on the left to purchase the Guild Wars game. We are not using
Factions. We are using the standard Guild Wars game you will find on Amazon
through the link on the left. If you can find it at your local video game
store that's fine. Just make sure you get the standard edition not the new Factions version.
|
|
|
Step 3) Install the game
|
| |
The game install for Guild Wars seems to be very simple. The only glitch
that folks have run into has to do with ancient hardware. The Guild Wars
game will require you to have a more recent video card. Not super recent.
But if you are like some of us, your computer might have been assembled
by Fred Flintstone. You will need something more recent than
the stone age or even the 90s. A computer manufactured from 2000 on should
be okay. But then again your mileage may vary.

|
|
Step 4) Create a character and play the game in pre-Searing
|
| |
What in the hell is pre-Searing? That is something you will hopefully
discover by playing the game awhile.
We recommend that you do all the necessary skill quests for your
character's first and second profession. (Oh lordy, what is a primary
and secondary skill? Why do I have to do quests for them. What the heck
is a quest anyway? More work for you to do.)
Do the quest "Travel with an Ally" for the Resurrection Signet.
(Resurrection? Signet? Ally? Yep more work to
do. More to learn.)
Collect five (5) scale fins and trade them for a belt pouch
with the collector standing just outside Ascalon City. (Sigh, even
more stuff to learn, scales, and collecting, and trading,
and finding collectors, and who knows what.)
|
|
|
Step 5) Talk to Sir Tydus and travel into post-Searing Ascalon.
|
| |
After you have done the recommended quests and procured a signet and belt,
find Sir Tydus and let him send you on into post-Searing.
|
|
|
Step 6) Be at least level 5
|
| |
By the time you have completed the recommended quests you should
be level 5. If not then play around doing stuff until you get to
level 5. It will not be that difficult.
|
|
|
Step 7) Get invited into LoL Guild
|
| |
We have our own special Guild called LoL. You will need to meet
with one of our trainers in the game so that we can invite you
into the guild. This is a little tricky. But by the time you are
ready to do this it should not be all that daunting.
When you are ready to meet call us at the center (530.271.2239) or
click here to use the contact form.
